The school-work alternation program is one of the most significant innovations of Law 107 of 2015, in line with the principle of the “open school.” It is an initiative that businesses, public and private entities, associations, and professionals who wish to invest in the educational and professional development of young people can sign up for free, by offering work placement programs within their facilities.
For about three years now, Tierre Group has implemented this educational method, aimed at students in their third, fourth, and fifth years of high school, by integrating them into the various departments of our company. Our main objective is to give young people the opportunity to immerse themselves in a corporate environment, understand its dynamics, and show them what it means to live and work in an organized and efficient structure.
We place students in our departments without expecting to teach them a specific task, in full respect of their individual skills and abilities, which differ for each one, as well as their competencies and course of study. Each year, we welcome two or three students, in full compliance with safety regulations and current decrees, allowing them to complete a program with a variable number of hours, as per MIUR guidelines, depending on whether they attend technical or vocational schools.
We hope in this way to help young people experience the atmosphere of a corporate environment in the best possible way, cultivating their talents, stimulating creativity and aspirations, and thus contributing to creating a new generation of professionals who are more aware of and passionate about the world of work.
